Kim Kuba, Certified Aromatherapist
I have been a Physical Therapy Assistant since 1986 and have worked in many healthcare environments, including traumatic brain injury, acute rehabilitation, sub acute rehabilitation, acute care and, most recently, outpatient rehabilitation. I am also a Mom, former massage therapist and now, a Certified Aromatherapist.
My introduction to essential oils began in massage school in the early 2000’s. I have used essential oils with my family and in my massage practice. Life got very busy with three active children and I stopped doing massage but still used essential oils occasionally.
Thanks to the internet, people have access to all kinds of information, some good but some not so good. Patients ask me about oils and I didn’t feel qualified to advise people without more education.
In the Spring of 2017, I decided it was time for me to get more education. I wanted a National Association of Holistic Aromatherapy (NAHA) certified program and found Aromatic Wisdom Institute in Selinsgrove. Liz Fulcher’s certification program included 235 hours of class time and many hours of study outside the classroom. In addition, I completed 28 hours of Aromatic Wisdom Institute’s Teacher Training program in the fall of 2017.
I love essential oils and advocate for safe use to support wellness, however, essential oils are not a substitute for medical care.
I look forward to assisting you in the safe use of essential oils.
